Computer Pains, People Pains, Muscle Pains, and... Clowns

*aims at computer* Bang.

I think that once I get a new system assembled, tested, the data transferred, and everything running smoothly, I'm going to take a sledgehammer to this motherboard and hard drive. Maybe I could sell the MB, but I doubt for much, and to bash it to a tiny pile of green, orange, and brownish bits of plastic and wires would be so very satisfying. I used to adore my dear desktop, but like a person it's testing my patience. Maybe I'll get some "C-Crystals" out of the deal. (Bad inside joke.)

Another thing that I ought to take a sledgehammer to are select people, because maybe, similar to delivering a swift kick to the side of a faulty machine, the blow would rattle some sense into their brainpans. Once upon a time there was a girl. Oe day her insecurities grew until she fled the online scene, hiding from everyone and adopting new identities of both genders. Then one day she came back to her old online hangouts, and she sprinkled apologies about, including to people she claimed to respect. Now that girl is not the only one to behave in such a manner; she's but one example of behavior I see repeated online, yet it’s strange, in my opinion, to hide from someone who you allegedly respect, whose opinion meant so much or who inspired you. The more I like or respect a person the more I want to be around them, not less. Crazy nutters.

Despite how annoying and illogical people can me, I must be feeling subconsciously lonely , because I keep thinking how I’d like a roommate so I can cook up a storm – they’d do the dishes of course! -- or watch movies with while eating junkfood. *shakes self* I must remind myself of my old roommate experiences! Two were good roomies, and we’d go out and do stuff together, but I knew them before we lived together, so we were friends before we were ever roommates; the others were, well, “ew” sums them up best.

Speaking of watching movies, a co worker is a Netflix subscriber. A few other people I know online also have or currently are using Netflix, and all seem to be overall pleased with the service. For a time I’ve been considering it, but Blockbuster also has a DVD rental deal for about $3 a month less, however I don’t know anyone who has used them, and now I’m not sure which one to try. Wal-mart briefly had an online rental service too, but it gave it up, deciding instead to form a partnership with Netflix in May of this year. Back in 2004, meanwhile, Amazon toyed with the idea as well, but it never came to fruition in the States; the UK, however, is another story.

I’m falling apart like an old ragdoll. My wrist is aching a bit, but I left my bandage at home, so I can’t wrap it up. Furthermore, I suffered a nasty muscle spasm in my left calf this morning, and consequently misstepped on the stairs later in the morning and twisted my ankle. Owie owie owie! ;_;

And now a couple assorted links:

[info]sirilonwe posted this link before of a site I found while chatting with her not long, but zealot religious clowns deserve to be mentioned again. They scary.

I happened upon the website of a cosplay wigmaker and was impressed. She does good work and is in high demand, being booked months ahead, but the prices are quite a blow to the pocketbook, making me wonder if I’m in the wrong field. I think [info]abiona has done some cosplay work; maybe she should quit her day job and become a professional wigmaker. Wigs are where the money is at!

Yeah, me too. It's just one of those days where the universe has conspired against us.

I'm starting to think that the universe doesn't like us very much. Blahums.

And people should be shot, yes. but then again, why do we keep on getting our hopes up and thinking "maybe this time iit'll be different?" it rarely ever is.
